Mike Jerrick Biography
Mike Jerrick is an American ten-time Emmy award-winning anchor working for FOX 29 as the co-host of Good Day Philadelphia. He rejoined the FOX 29 News team in July 2009, after previously working at the station from 1999 to 2002.
Before Jerrick returned to Philadelphia, he served as the co-host of The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet, that aired on FOX television stations around the country. He also previously worked at Fox News Channel while serving as the co-host of the daytime talk show known as DaySide. In addition, he also worked at WNYW-FOX 5 as the recurring guest co-anchor of Good Day New York. After having left “Good Day Philadelphia” in October 2002, Mike served as the weekend co-host of “FOX and Friends” at FOX News Channel.
Prior to joining FOX 29, he worked on “America Afterhours,” which is a live, national newsmaker and celebrity interview program on CNBC where he served as its managing editor and anchor. In addition, Mike is was the host of “What’s News” airing on the national cable television network America’s Talking. Jerrick has also worked on USA Network’s Sci-Fi Channel as the host of Sci-Fi Buzz from 1991 to 1997. Furthermore, he also served as the host and producer of of HBO’s “World Entertainment Report” from 1991 to 1994. Mike has also worked at KCAL-TV where he served as a reporter and producer and at KPIX-TV (CBS) in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Before that, Mike worked at USA Network where he hosted “Alive & Well,” for 5 years. He started his career at WNYW-TV in New York in 1981, as the producer and host of “P.M. Magazine.” Mike attended Chaplain Kapaun Memorial High School where he graduated proudly. Later on, he joined the University of Kansas where he studied in it William Allen White School of Journalism and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism
