Mike Iscovitz Biography
Mike Iscovitz is an American meteorologist working for FOX 26 as the chief meteorologist and he can be seen from 4 am to 10 am on “WakeUp! With Sally Mac and Lina.” In addition, he can also be seen on “Houston’s Morning Show,” and “FOX 26 News @ Noon.”
Iscovitz has also served as the weekly host of “Mondays with Mike,” and he has worked at FOX 26 for over 20 years and during this time, he has covered many tropical storms and hurricanes including; deadly Tropical Storm Allison in 2001, Harvey in 2017 and Nicholas last year, and Texas’ Big Freeze when the power grid failed in 2021.
Fort Lauderdale, Florida is Mike’s native home and he attended Florida State University where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors Degree in meteorology. In 2001, Iscovitz earned the American Meteorological Society Seal of Approval. In addition, Mike was the 69thperso in the United States to be recognized as an AMS-certified broadcast meteorologist.
Furthermore, Iscovitz started his meteorology career at WSVN-TV in Miami where he was a weather intern. Later on, he studied meteorology at Florida State University. Later in 1999, Mike worked at KLFY-TV in Lafayette, Louisiana where he served as a weekend weather anchor. In addition, Mike enjoys spending ample time with his wife and daughters during his leisure time. He also loves exercising and practicing his guitar during his spare time.
