Miguel Octavio is an American anchor and reporter working for 10 Tampa Bay as a multimedia journalist. He joined the 10 Tampa Bay news team in September 2021, after previously working for KAAL-TV.
Octavio is a proud graduate of Mound Westonka High School. He then went to the University of Minnesota where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Political Science. After working for two years in Rochester, Minnesota at KAAL-TV ABC 6 News as a reporter and weekend news anchor, Miguel moved to the Tampa Bay Area in September 2021 and joined WTSP-TV as a news reporter. In addition, he worked alone to write, shoot, edit, and produce entrepreneurship stories for communities in north Iowa and southeast Minnesota. During his two weeks in the rural Carolinas as part of an investigative assignment in the Phoenix, Arizona area in 2019, he traveled to the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Communication to report for News21 on the effects of federal disaster aid on underprivileged areas.
