Michelle Fisher is an American anchor and reporter working for ABC 7 as a weekend evening co-anchor and general assignment reporter. She joined the ABC 7 team in November 2022.
Prior to joining the ABC 7 team, Fisher worked at NBC News and the Black News Channel where she served as an anchor of a digital show known as The Report by NBC News on Quibi. Before relocating to New York City, Michelle worked at WBZ-TV, CBS Boston where she served as a reporter and fill-in anchor. In addition, Michelle began her broadcasting career at KTVE/KARD, the NBC/FOX duopoly co in Monroe, Louisiana. While she was at the station, she served as a morning anchor covering parts of Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
Michelle is from Virginia and she attended the University of Virginia where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in American Studies. She then relocated to Los Angeles where she joined The University of California for her post-graduate education and earned a post-baccalaureate journalism certificate. In addition, while Fisher studied at UCLA Extension, she also completed two internships at KABC-TV. During her free time, she enjoys doing DIY crafts, spending time with family and friends, being a dog mom to her Shih Tzu, Lucy, and thrift shopping.
