Michael Tobin is an American anchor and reporter working for FOX NEWS as a Chicago-based correspondent. He joined the FOX NEWS news team in 2001, after previously working for WSVN-TV (FOX 7) in Miami, FL.
Tobin attended Barrington High School and is a graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Telecommunications at Arizona State University. He worked as a general reporter and substitute anchor for WSVN-TV (FOX 7) in Miami, FL, and WSAZ-TV (NBC 3) in Huntington, WV. He initiated his professional career as a reporter for weekend programs at WMDT-TV (ABC 47) in Salisbury, MD. Later, he joined FOX News Channel (FNC) in 2001 and he currently serves as a correspondent based in Chicago. He has reported on various significant events, including live coverage from Southern Israel during the Israel-Hamas war and reporting on Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine from Lviv. In addition to that he has also provided updates on Hurricane Ida from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Moreover, he has also covered protests related to the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis, reported on the death of Freddie Gray in Baltimore, and provided live coverage from Ferguson, MO, during the protests and investigation of the death of Michael Brown.
