Michael Spencer is an American anchor working at CBS 4 as a weekday evening anchor at 5, 6, and 10 p.m. He joined the CBS News Colorado in April of 2023.
Prior to Spencer’s current position, he served as the main sports anchor at CBS News Colorado for 7 years. At a young age, Michael’s love for sports sparked and he attended the University of Missouri where he graduated proudly. After having graduated, Spencer worked at KMID-TV in Midland, Texas, and later joined KAMR-TV in Amarillo, Texas where he worked for a number of years.
In addition, he has also worked for WATE-TV in Knoxville, Tennessee prior to joining CBS News Colorado. While working at CBS 4, his first assignment was covering the White House and later the Broncos. Furthermore, he also covered the 2021 MLB All-Star Game that was hosted by the Colorado Rockies and the Colorado Avalanche’s 2022 Stanley Cup Championship.
He enjoyed doing live reports from the white house and he had the opportunity to cover numerous big events in sports. During his spare time, he enjoys exploring the vibrant culinary scene, checking out sporting events, and being with his family.
