Meredith Land is an American anchor working for NBC5 as the weekday co-anchor of the 5 pm and 6 pm newscasts. She joined the NBC 5 news team in October 2003.
Prior to joining NBC5, Land worked for the NBC affiliate in Charleston, South Carolina where she worked as a morning anchor and lead investigative reporter for 4 years. Meredith has received recognition over the years for her extensive work in broadcasting. In addition, for her report on the groundbreaking treatment that stopped a young girl’s seizures, she received a National Gracie Award. Furthermore, Meredith received five Lone Star Emmy nominations.
Over the years, she has won investigative reporting awards from; the South Carolina Broadcaster’s Association, RTNDA (Radio-Television News Directors Association), and the Associated Press. For reporting and producing a 30-minute special from Afghanistan, Land received a STAR award. In addition, Meredith serves on the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army DFW Metroplex Command, and also on the National Advisory Board for the Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health. Land attended Clemson University where she earned a major in English and a minor in Journalism.
