Meghan Schiller is an American anchor and reporter working for KDKA as an evening anchor at 7:30 p.m and a daily reporter at 4,5 and 6 p.m. She joined the KDKA news team in October 2017, after previously working for WJCL News.
While serving as a reporter, Schiller focuses on investigative and consumer reporting. Prior to joining KDKA, Meghan worked in Savannah, Georgia, and South Bend, Indiana. Pittsburgh is Meghan’s native home and she has roots in the South Hills. In addition, she was brought up in Whitehall and attended Baldwin High School where she graduated proudly, before later joining Carnegie Mellon University in Oakland where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Opera Performance and English. Meghan also studied at Northwestern University where she earned a Master of Science in Medill School of Journalism in 2013.
She earned the title of Pittsburgh’s “Miss Smiling Irish Eyes” for her love for singing and her Irish heritage. She made an appearance as a guest on KDKA’s “Pittsburgh Today Live” as the queen of the St. Patrick’s Day parade. In addition, after the show, Schiller enquired from Kristine Sorensen about internship opportunities at KDKA. During her downtime, she enjoys working out, spending time with her family, and walking her two dogs Bailey and Jameson.
