Matt Finn is an American anchor and reporter working for FOX News Channel as a national correspondent. He joined the FOX News Channel team in August 2013, after previously working for KIMA-TV.
Finn graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, where he received his bachelor’s degree in journalism. He started working for FOX News Channel (FNC) as a Las Vegas-based Junior Reporter. During that time, he covered the initial Bundy ranch showdown in the Nevada desert. In 2022, FNC provided coverage of the Midterm Election. Finn previously provided live reporting from Lviv, Ukraine, to support FNC’s coverage of Russia’s invasion of that country. He previously covered the Jussie Smollett trial in Chicago, covering the trial’s verdict live outside the courthouse. Finn also provided live updates from Michigan during FNC’s Democracy 2020 election coverage of the 2020 presidential contest. Furthermore, Finn has reported on significant news items for the network, such as the passing of Prince and the demonstrations in Chicago’s streets following Laquan McDonald’s death, among other events.
Additionally, he covered the death of Lt. Joe Gliniewicz, a Fox Lake police officer who arranged his own suicide to look like a murder. Finn worked as a producer and stand-in reporter at WBRE-TV in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, as well as an anchor and reporter for KIMA-TV in Washington before coming to FNC. He has won multiple honors, including the Peter Lisagor Award for in-depth reporting and two distinct investigative reporting awards from the Society of Professional Journalists. He worked as a student intern at WRTI radio, a PR reporter for the Dean’s Office at the Fox School of Business, a street reporter for Philadelphia Neighborhoods, a reporter for The Temple News, and an anchor intern at NBC 10 for a semester.
