Matt Cedeno is an American actor who is best known for starring in Days of Our Lives (1999-2005), Devious Maids (2013-2014), and Z Nation (2015–16). He rose to fame after starring in the TV drama series Ruthless (2020).
Cedeno started modeling and took on jobs in Milan, Madrid, New York, and Los Angeles. He balanced this career with his studies until he completed his education. From 1999 to 2005, Cedeño portrayed Brandon Walker in the NBC daytime soap series Days of Our Lives, for which he is well-known. For his role as Walker on Days of our Lives, he has received three consecutive nominations for an ALMA award in the category of Outstanding Actor in a Daytime Drama. In the 2000 motion picture Price of Glory, he portrayed a young fighter; years later, Jimmy Smits played the same role.
He had appearances as a guest star on The Mentalist, Boy Meets World, CSI: Miami, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. In the hundredth episode of the ABC comedy-drama series Desperate Housewives, Cedeño made an appearance as Umberto Rothwell, the homosexual spouse of Edie Britt (Nicollette Sheridan). He played Alejandro Rubio, a gay character, in a recurring role on Lifetime’s comedy-drama Devious Maids for part of season 1 and season 2. But in season two, his character was eliminated.
From 2015 to 2016, Cedeño starred in the Syfy television series Z Nation. He played recurring roles in the Starz drama Power and the Oprah Winfrey Network prime-time soap series Ambitions. Cedeño was cast in Ruthless, a BET+ serial opera about a religious sex cult, in 2020.
