Marsha Augustin is an American anchor and reporter working for WHEC as a weeknight at 11 pm reporter and a weekend anchor at 6 pm and 11 pm.
New York is Marsha’s native home and she was born and brought up in the Bronx. Since her childhood days, she always desired to become a reporter and she is passionate about delivering informative news to the community. Augustin attended Fordham University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications. In addition, she also studied at Syracuse University where she graduated with her M.S. in broadcasting journalism and digital media in 2020.
After having graduated from Syracuse University, Augustin was able to secure her first job at WENY News where she served as an anchor and reporter. While working at WENY, she covered stories in Elmira, Corning, and the whole of the South and Northern Tier regions. Furthermore, for Marsha’s coverage of residents who did not have water for days in Hornell, she won an NYS Journalist Broadcasting award.
Over the years, Augustin has been giving back to the community and volunteered for the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital in New York City. During her spare time, she enjoys traveling to the Caribbean island of St. Lucia where she visits her family.
