Mario Solis is an American sports anchor and reporter who is currently working at NBC4. He broadcasts sports reports on the 4, 5, 6, and 11 p.m newscasts on KNBC.

He has served as a sports anchor for more than two decades. Furthermore, he has covered almost every major sporting event, including the Super Bowl games, multiple World Series, and the Olympic Games. He is also a recognized Spanish-language announcer for HBO’s iconic “World Championship Boxing” series as well as a play-by-play announcer for the Los Angeles Rams on ESPN Radio 1330 AM and the Los Angeles Chargers on KFWB- AM 980.
He has also worked at NBC4’s sister station Telemundo 52 and for the Telemundo Network where he served as a sports anchor. In addition, on a number of networks and local programs, he served as an executive producer and host. In addition, his broadcasting career started at KCBS in Los Angeles where he served as a field producer, before moving to NBC4 to become an editorial assistant.
Angeleno is his native home. He attended the University of Southern California where he graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism. He has also fronted a number of sports-related radio shows and has picked up the microphone for countless national and international sporting events.
