Maddie Janssen is an American anchor working for KGET 17 as a morning anchor on 17 News at Sunrise alongside Alex Fisher. She joined the KGET 17 news team in August 2009, after previously working for KULR 8 News.
Bakersfield is Janssen’s native home and she attended Chapman University where she studied broadcast journalism and television production and graduated in 2007. She has been working at KGET 17 since 2009, and prior to joining the station, she worked at KULR8 in Billings, Montana, where she served as a reporter for 2 years. In addition, she has also worked for Channel 3 Garden Grove as a reporter for almost a year.
Furthermore, Maddie relocated to Tehachapi in 2019, and while she was there, she enjoyed biking, hiking, exploring, and raising their chickens in the mountain air.
