Lynda Baquero is an American Emmy award-winning correspondent working for NBC 4. She serves as a consumer reporter on the Better Get Baquero segment airing on weekdays at 4 pm and 5 pm. In addition, she joined the NBC 4 news team in October 1995.

In addition to her role on NBC 4, she also serves as the host of the “Visiones” series which highlights issues that affect the Hispanic community. In the series, she gives informative conversations with community leaders, newsmakers, education, and celebrities on arts, and health. While working at NBC 4, she has held a number of high-profile positions and she has filed reporter both abroad and at home.
Furthermore, she reported live on the country’s economic tourism and President Obama’s visit to the island in 2011 from Puerto Rico. She has also covered Pope John Paul II’s visit to the Holy Land, and Cuba’s economy. Baquero has also covered the arrival and devastating aftermath of Hurricane Georges in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Puerto Rico. In addition, she also covered 2012, President Obama’s visit to New York, and the Salt Lake City and Atlanta Olympic Games.

In her role, she was responsible for writing, researching, editing, and shooting her own stories. Furthermore, while Lynda worked at WCBS-TV, she worked in every part of the newsroom including the assistant desk, researcher, assignment editor, and finally associate producer of “Troubleshooter.” She has also worked at WCAU-TV, Philadelphia where she served as an associate producer of “NELY!” a talk show.
In addition, she has received many awards and recognitions over the years, and she was named one of El Diario La Prensa’s “Mujeres Destacadas” (Outstanding Women). She also received the Consulate General of Israel’s “Woman of Valor” award. The New York University College of Arts and Sciences honored Lynda with their Alumni Achievement Award. The Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors awarded Baquero with the Excellence in English Language Media award.
She is a member of the Board of Directors of Let’s Get Ready which is a non-profit organization that serves the educational needs of New York City students. Baquero is also a board member of the Byram Hills Education Foundation which supports Westchester County students, and she is a huge supporter of El Museo del Barrio’s arts and education programs.
