Lourdes Duarte is an American anchor and reporter working for WGN-TV as the co-anchor of the evening newscast at 4 pm. She joined the WGN-TV team in September 2007, as a general reporter for the midday, evening and 9 pm newscast.

Prior to Duarte taking up her current role as an evening co-anchor, she served as a morning coo-anchor and reporter for WGN News at Nine. Before Lourdes joined WGN-TV, she worked for WJBK-TV, the Fox affiliate in Detroit, Michigan where she served as a reporter and fill-in anchor for three years.
In addition, Duarte also worked for WXIN-TV in Indianapolis for two years while serving as a reporter. While she was at WXIN-TV, she served as the host of Hoy en Diac, which is a public affairs program and anchored the daily news cut-ins in Spanish for radio station WEDJ-FM. Furthermore, Lourdes has also worked at WHOI-TV in Peoria as a reporter and at Metro Networks in Miami, Florida for radio stations WTMI-FM and WLRN-FM. She began her career in Chicago while working for Telemundo as a freelance reporter.
Furthermore, she has been awarded four Emmy’s and she received an Emmy nomination for a story she did on deportation. Together with a WGN photographer, they were on the plane that transported undocumented immigrants to their home country. While working at WGN, Duarte has also served as the host of Adelante Chicago. She was selected as one of the DePaul University’s 14 Under 40 in 2009, and she a board member of the College of Communication. Lourdes attended DePaul University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication.
