Lorena Inclán Biography
Lorena Inclán is an American reporter working for WTVJ as a weekday and weekend reporter. She joined the NBC6 news team in February 2023.
Not long ago, Lorena worked for St. Johns County where she served as the Director of Public Affairs. While she was there, she was the leader of the communications and public relations strategy. Before Inclán joined St. Johns County Government, she worked for CBS47 & FOX30 Action News. In addition, while at CBS47 & FOX30, Lorena served as a weekend morning anchor and reporter for 8 years. Furthermore, Inclán launched a cold case podcast where she extensively covered unsolvable cases during her time in Northeast Florida.
As of the moment, Inclán works on the board for the non-profit, Project: Cold Case, which focuses on bringing awareness to cases that have gone cold and advocates for families that await justice. In addition, she began her on-air career in Texas where she worked for Telemundo Amarillo and NewsChannel10. Not long after, Inclán returned to Florida where she worked for Univision Orlando as a multi-media journalist. Over the years, Lorena has also covered high-profile stories such as; the disappearance of Michelle Parker, the sinking of the S.S. El Faro, the hazing death of FAMU drum major Robert Champion, and the shooting deaths of Trayvon Martin and Jordan Davis.
Furthermore, Lorena traveled to Panama where she obtained an exclusive interview with the canal administrator at the time. Miami is Inclán’s native home and her parents are Cuban immigrants. Lorena began her television career at Telemundo 51 where she was a television intern. While interning, she studied at the University of Miami where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. After having graduated, Inclán secured a job at NBC6 where she served as a stage manager and camera operator. In addition, she was named as the best reporter in a medium market for her work in 2020, by the Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists in 2021. During her spare time, she enjoys spending ample time with her family and spending time with her puppies Chiquitica and Stella.
