Liz Lewin Biography

Liz Lewin is an American anchor and reporter working for FOX where she serves as a weekend morning anchor/ reporter. She joined the FOX 2 Detroit team in November 2022, after previously working for WGRZ.

Buffalo is Lewin’s native home and she began acting when she was 4 years old as she did as many stage theaters as her parents would allow her. In 2005, she joined Fordham University in Manhattan, where she studied performance theater. She graduated in 2009, with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications & Media Studies, with a minor in Spanish Studies. In addition, Liz also attended Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications where she graduated in 2012, with a Master’s degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism.

Over the years, Lewin has had experience in teaching, public relations, politics, and a number of other arenas all of which have elevated me as a journalist. During her childhood days, she explored the world and familiarized herself with inequities and injustices around her, this has brought about her passion for community-based journalism.
