Liz Cho is an American anchor working for WABC-TV as a weekday evening co-anchor of Eyewitness News First at 4 pm and Eyewitness News at 6 pm. She joined the WABC-TV team on July 7, 2003, replacing Diana Williams at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.
Concord, Massachusetts is where Cho was brought up and she studied at Boston University where she majored in journalism and history. While working for WABC-TV, Liz has anchored and covered stories such as; the funeral of President Ronald Reagan, the Royal Wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton, Republican and Democratic National Conventions, and a number of news events in the Tri-State area. Prior to joining the WABC team, she worked at Channel 7 where she served as the World News Now newscast anchor.
Furthermore, she was also the network’s correspondent. While serving as a correspondent for Channel 7, Cho covered stories for Nightline, World News Tonight, and Good Morning America. Liz also served as the anchor of the early weeks of the Iraq War on Good Morning America. Before that, Liz worked for the Chicago-based ABC affiliate where she was a correspondent.
In addition, Liz traveled all over the country while covering national stories such as; devastating tornadoes in the Midwest, the Columbine High School shootings, and President Clinton’s impeachment hearings. She also worked for WPLG-TV in Miami where she served as a reporter and for New England Cable News in Newton, Massachusetts where she was an assignment editor.
