Lisa Meadows Biography
Lisa Meadows is an American meteorologist working for WCCO-TV as a weekend meteorologist. She joined the WCCO-TV team in June 2018, after previously working for KOVR.
Meadows was brought up in Highland and while growing up she was always fascinated by the weather. She always watched Midwest thunderstorms in her hometown in northwest Indiana. Lisa attended Valparaiso University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Meteorology with a minor in mathematics. In addition, she also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, and the National Weather Association awarded her its NWA Seal of Approval. Lisa also has the American Meteorological Society Certified Broadcast Meteorologist designation.
Furthermore, while she was in college, she was the founding Chief Meteorologist for the college television station, VUTV. She was also an active member of the Valparaiso University Storm Intercept Team (VUSIT), and the president of the Northwest Indiana American Meteorological Society/National Weather Association. Prior to relocating to the Midwest, Lisa worked for the CBS affiliates in West Texas, Sacramento, and Central Illinois.
