Lisa Argen Biography
Lisa Argen is an American meteorologist working for KGO-TV as a weekly meteorologist. She joined the ABC 7/ KGO-TV team after previously working in Chicago.
Argen was brought up in Buffalo, New York and she has always been fascinated by the weather. She resided in a lake effect zone thus she was used to winters that stretch into April and at times to May. Lisa attended the University of Notre Dame where she graduated proudly and later on, she focused on the sky. In addition, she forecasted in East Tennessee for the Great Smoky Mountains and the Cumberland Plateau. While she was there, she earned her forecasting Seal of Approval.
Lisa then worked in Chicago where she forecasted more lake effect snow and ‘Alberta Clippers’ for two years. Her biggest weather challenge was in 1997, during the El Nino winter when Pacific storms brought drenching rains and damaging winds to the Bay Area. During that year, Argen was honored by the Bay Area Women in Radio and Television with a second award. While she resided in Hawaii, she took a two-year break from work so as to raise her growing family and then joined ABC 7. During her spare time, she enjoys skiing, biking, gardening, hiking, and spending ample time with her family.
