Before Peña joined the ABC 10 team, she worked in Fresno, California where she served the anchor of the weekday evening newscasts. She began her journalism career in Fresno and she is proud to call it her her hometown. She attended Fresno State University where she graduated proudly and later on, she started working on the assignment desk and she held several positions in the newsroom prior to getting her first job as a reporter. During her leisure time, she enjoys spending time with her dog Carl.
