Linda Stouffer is an American Emmy award-winning anchor and reporter working for WSB-TV as the weekday evening anchor at 6 pm and as the host of People 2 People. She joined the WSB team in 2009, after previously working for CNN.

San Marcos, Texas is Linda’s native home and she attended San Marcos High School where she graduated in 1988. While she was a senior in high school, she took part in America’s Junior Miss Scholarship Program in 1988. Later on, she joined the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas on a Phi Beta Kappa scholarship and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in communication in 1992.

After graduating from college, she secured a job at KMOL-TV in San Antonio in 1992, as a general assignment reporter. She worked her way up the ladder and became an anchor. Stouffer relocated to Miami, Florida in 1994, where she worked for WSVN-TV as a general assignment reporter and weekend anchor. In addition, she also worked at CNN in Atlanta, Georgia in 1997, and while she was at the station, she changed her professional name to Linda Stouffer. Linda served as the co-anchor of the morning news program Ahead of the Curve, which aired simultaneously on CNNfn, CNN/U.S, and CNN’s former financial news network. Furthermore, she also served as a weekday and later a weekend anchor for CNN Headline News. In December 2008, Stouffer was among a number of journalists who were laid off by CNN, and her last day at the station was December 14, 2008.

After leaving CNN, she joined WSB-TV Atlanta as the anchor of the 6 pm newscast and the Action News Nightbeat on Sundays. She also fill-in for the 5 pm and 6 pm newscasts on weekdays. On January 7, 2013, Linda took up the weekday early morning at 4:30 a.m. co-anchor role. In addition, Stouffer has been an important team member in covering the; Georgia elections, the pandemic, and all the biggest stories of the last 12 years at WSB-TV.

Furthermore, she was honored with a Regional Emmy and Georgia Associated Press awards, for Best Morning Newscast and reporting. Whenever she finds time, she volunteers in support of the; American Cancer Society, SafePath Children’s Advocacy, local education groups and schools, March of Dimes, and Our House. During her spare time, she enjoys chasing waterfalls on hiking trails in the Georgia mountains.
