Baltimore is his native home and he attended Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High. He discovered that he wanted to become a broadcast journalist while he was in high school during his sophomore year after his English teacher singled him out to read the morning announcements over the school’s PA system.
After he graduated from high school, he joined Towson University, and a few months before he graduated he was able to secure his first on-air job at WALB-TV in Albany, Georgia where he began as a reporter, and later on he was promoted to serve as the weekend evening anchor.
Later on, he relocated to Columbia, South Carolina where he was able to secure a job at WIS Sunrise and served as its weekday morning anchor. Additionally, while he was at the station, together with the morning news team they won an Emmy award for their coverage of the removal of the Confederate flag from statehouse grounds. Not long after, he relocated to Jacksonville, Florida where he worked at First Coast News and served as a reporter, and later promoted to serve as the anchor of Good Morning Jacksonville which aired on weekends.
Furthermore, the South Carolina Broadcasters Association named him as the Anchor of the Year for his continuous coverage of nine people who were killed at a Charleston church. In addition, while he was in Florida, he also worked at WFTV where he served as an anchor and reporter. During his leisure time, he enjoys spending as much time as he can with his family and friends.
