Leah Beno is an American anchor and reporter working for FOX 9 as a weekend morning anchor and reporter during the weekday. She joined FOX 9 in February 2009, and five years later was when she joined ther weekend team.
Michigan is Leah’s native home and she was brought up in a suburb of the Detroit area. She attended Michigan State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism in 2003. While working at FOX 9, Beno has been part of the weekend morning expanding to include a third hour of news on Sunday mornings. Before joining the KMSP/ Fox 9 team, Leah worked in North Carolina for WGHP and in Northern Michigan at WWTV.
In addition, while serving as a journalist, Beno has reported on a wide range of topics and events. She has had interviews with Sen. John McCain and Sen. Hillary Clinton and covered Super Bowl LII. Most notably, she recalls the day Jacob Wetterling’s remains were found and the day Prince passed away.
