Latoyia Edwards is an American Emmy award-winning anchor and host who is currently working at WBTS. She serves as a morning anchor on NBC10 Boston and the host of This Is New England. In addition, she joined the NBC Boston and NECN team in 2005 as a morning reporter.
Previously, she resided and worked in Springfield, Massachusetts at WWLP-22 where she served as a weekday anchor.
Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood is her native home. She attended Emerson College where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. In addition, she started her career in journalism at WBZ 1030-AM radio where she served as a news writer. Later on, she joined WICZ-TV 40 the Fox affiliate in Binghamton, New York. Furthermore, her first anchoring job was at MediaOne cable news network, and at the same time, she worked at WILD 1090AM where she served as a reporter and morning anchor.
In addition, she also instructed courses for the Connecticut School of Broadcasting. Prior to being crowned Miss Massachusetts in the USA pageant in 2002. She is also very active in volunteering with youth groups.
