Kumasi Aaron is an American anchor and reporter working for KGO-TV where she serves as a weekday morning anchor. She joined the KGO-TV team in July 2019, after previously working for The E.W. Scripps Company.
Florida is her native home and she studied at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree, in Accounting. Later in January 2020, she joined the University of Denver, where she earned a Master of Arts in Communication Management in June 2022. In addition, after she had graduated, she interned at ABC News, where she led the behind-the-scenes work at WABC and NBC Nightly News.
Later on, Aaron secures her first on-air job in Fayetteville, Arkansas where she serves as an anchor and reporter. Kumasi then relocated to her native home in Florida where she worked in Jacksonville as an anchor and reporter for WJXT-TV Channel 4 News. In addition, she wore her natural hair for the first time, while she worked in Jacksonville. Aaron then relocated to Denver in August 2016, where she worked for The E.W. Scripps Company as a National Correspondent and Anchor.
Furthermore, her role as a National Correspondent for The E.W. Scripps Company enabled her to travel all over the country while covering stories such as the Ghost Ship Fire in Oakland, the presidential inauguration, and Hurricane Irma. In addition, she is looking forward to building relationships in communities throughout the Bay Area and telling the stories of the people she has to meet.
