Kimberely Scott is an American anchor working for FOX54 as a Weekday Evening Anchor. She joined the FOX54 news team in July 2022, after previously working for WSPA 7 News.
Scott has an extensive background in the media industry, with notable roles in both the Upstate and Augusta. In the Greenville-Spartanburg area at WSPA 7 News, she anchored the 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm newscasts, displaying a strong connection to the community. During her time in the Upstate, she also served on the Hospice Division Board of Spartanburg Regional Hospital and the Cancer Association of Spartanburg & Cherokee Counties, Inc. Her earlier experience includes working in Augusta at WJBF News Channel 6. Here, she co-anchored the 5:30 p.m. newscast on WJBF and the 10 p.m. news on MeTV. Originating from Ohio, she initially arrived in Augusta from Atlanta, where she worked as a DJ at radio station WTJH.
In Atlanta, she co-hosted a teen talk show called “The Cutting Edge,” which aired on the city’s cable access channel. Her professional journey continued with roles at Georgia-Pacific’s Corporate Communications Division and Cox Enterprises in its Broadcast Division. During her time in Atlanta, she actively mentored young people in her community and collaborated with various civic organizations. In Augusta, she was a member of the NABJ (National Association of Black Journalists). Here, she served in leadership roles such as President of the Board of Directors for Augusta’s Historic Imperial Theatre. Like the Secretary for the Augusta Ballet Board of Directors, and on the Board of Directors of Good Neighbor Ministries, an extension of St. Luke United Methodist Church in the Harrisburg Community.
Her contributions to the field were recognized with a GABBY Award from the Georgia Association of Broadcasters in 2006, designating her as the “Best On-Air Personality” in Georgia. Outside of her professional pursuits, she finds joy in cooking, traveling, exploring new cultures, and indulging in a bit of shopping during her leisure time.
