Kim Porter and Sean Combs

Porter and Combs shared a long and tumultuous relationship spanning the 1990s until their final separation in 2007, as reported by People. She and Combs had an on-again, off-again relationship for over a decade and shared three children. The pair continued to co-parent their children and remained like family with one another. She revealed that their relationship took a negative turn while she was still pregnant with the couple’s twins. She learned from a girlfriend that Combs had recently fathered a child with another woman, leading to a strain in their relationship.

Eventually, Combs did communicate the news to Porter, but she stated that it occurred after the birth of their twins. In July 2006, Combs welcomed a daughter named Chance with Sarah Chapman. Subsequently, twin daughters, D’Lila and Jessie, arrived in December of the same year. Additionally, Combs is also father to son Justin with his ex-girlfriend, Misa Hylton-Brim. In an April 2019 interview with Essence Magazine, Combs referred to Porter as his “soulmate” and shared her final words.

Sean “Diddy” Combs

Combs is currently facing sexual assault allegations in four separate lawsuits over recent weeks. The initial lawsuit was filed in November by Combs’ former partner, Cassie, who accused him of rape and sex trafficking during a tumultuous 10-year relationship. Although the suit was resolved the following day, three additional lawsuits have been filed against Combs since then. The most recent, submitted at the beginning of December, alleges Combs’ involvement in a “gang rape”, together with the former Bad Boy Records president Harve Pierre and another man in 2003. This incident occurred when the accuser was just 17 years old. Combs has refuted all accusations in a statement to the media, asserting his determination to “fight for my name, my family, and for the truth.”

His close friendship with TD Jakes has also come under scrutiny following multiple lawsuits against the hip-hop mogul, alleging sexual misconduct by him and his associates. Diddy has openly expressed his admiration for the pastor, crediting Jakes for helping him navigate through a challenging period in his life. In 2021, the two announced a collaboration to bring Jakes’ exclusive sermon series to REVOLT TV, a prominent Black-owned multimedia platform.

These latest allegations against both Diddy and Jakes coincide with the rapper facing four lawsuits from different women, accusing the hip-hop mogul of assault. Despite denying the allegations, Diddy returned to social media on December 15 to pay tribute to his late ex-girlfriend, Kim Porter.
