Kim Bokamper Biography

Kim Bokamper is an American sports analyst working for CBS4 Miami as a football analyst every football season. He is also a former linebacker and defensive end who played with the National Football League Miami Dolphins for his entire nine-year career. 

Bokamper was among the well-known members of the world-champion Miami Dolphins in the mid-’70s and ’80s. In 1976, Kim joined the team as a first-round draft choice and he played in two Pro Bowls (’80 and ’81) and as a starting defensive end for Super Bowls XVII (’82) and XIX (’84). In addition, Bokamper also received an Outstanding Linebacker Award in 1981.

Ever since he retired from the game, he has had a successful broadcasting career and from 1992 to 1996, he worked at WIOD as the host of Sports Talk 610. He also served as the host of the Dolphin’s pre-game and post-game shows and from 1993 to 1996, he worked for Channel 33 as a football analyst on Sunday Night Sports Rap for three years 1996. Later on, Kim went on to work for 560 WQAM as the host of Sports Talk.

Furthermore, Bokamper is a successful consultant and businessman who devotes his leisure time to several charitable organizations such as; Special Olympics, the Cystic Fibrosis Association, the American Cancer Association, and the United Way. Bokamper has also served as the president of both the Miami Dolphins Alumni Association and the Miami Chapter of the NFL Alumni Association. In addition, he studied at San Jose State University where he graduated in 1976.
