Prior to Deas’ time in Huntsville, she worked at WMBB-TV in Panama City, Florida, where she served as an on-air multimedia journalist. She worked at WMBB-TV for two years, and before this, Keneisha worked for WSVN-TV in her hometown of Miami, Florida, and while she was there, she served as a news reporter.
Miami, Florida, is Keneisha’s native home, and she attended Howard University in Washington D.C., where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism. During her time at Howard University, she was part of the student team that ran the school’s newspaper, The Hilltop, while serving as a Metro Editor. Prior to Deas’s graduation, she wrote for the Howard University News Service as an intern at the CBS-affiliate news station (WUSA9) in D.C. Furthermore, she has also studied at Broward College, where she earned an Associate of Arts in Marketing.
In addition, Keneisha has also interviewed Bill Clinton for the Medal of Freedom in 2013, Oprah Winfrey, and civil rights activist C.T. Vivian. Furthermore, she also had the opportunity to interview feminist icon Gloria Steinem at the White House when Barack Obama was the president.
