Ken MacLeod is an American reporter and anchor working for WBZ-TV News as a general assignment reporter and anchor.
MacLeod was born in Montclair, New Jersey and he attended Boston University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism. While in college, Ken interned at WNAC-TV and WBZ-TV. Prior to joining the Boston-based station Ken worked for the CBS affiliate WKMG-TV in Orlando, Florida. In addition, while he was in Orlando, he served as the co-anchor of the morning newscast. He also anchored the station’s top-rated noon newscast for three years.
Furthermore, before Ken joined Orlando, he worked at WAGA-TV (CBS/FOX) in Atlanta, Georgia where he served as the co-anchor and reporter of the noon newscast. MacLeod also served as a news anchor and interim co-host of “Good Day Atlanta” which is the station’s most-watched morning program. From 1990 to 1996, Ken has worked as a general assignment reporter. In addition, MacLeod has also worked at WLEX-TV (NBC) in Lexington, Kentucky, and at WXIA-TV (NBC) in Atlanta where he served as a reporter.
Over the years, Ken has received many honors including nine Southern Regional Emmy Awards for; series, spot news, news writing, and general feature stories, outstanding field reporting. He has also received 19 additional Emmy nominations for every reporting category.
