Keith Urban is an Australian-American Award-winning singer, guitarist, and songwriter best known for “For You” (2012), “You Look Good in My Shirt” (2008), “Stupid Boy” (2006), and “The Voice” an Australian singing competition (2012). He is best known for being a coach in “The Voice”, an Australian singing competition.
Keith Urban Career
Urban has put out 11 studio albums and one record with the Ranch. One of the albums was only available in Australia. A duet with Brad Paisley called “Start a Band” and the 2008 single “You Look Good in My Shirt” are two of the 37 tracks that have made it to number one on the US Hot Country Songs chart. Pink, Nelly Furtado, Jason Derulo, Julia Michaels, and many country acts like Dolly Parton, The Chicks, Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride, Eric Church, and Reba McEntire are just a few of the artists that Urban has worked with.
He put out his self-titled debut record in 1991 and had four singles that made it to the top of the charts in Australia. The next year, he moved to the United States. It had “Once in a Lifetime” and “Stupid Boy,” his second Grammy Award-winning song. In late 2007, Greatest Hits: 18 Kids, a collection of the album’s best songs, came out.
The albums Defying Gravity came out on March 31, 2009, and Get Closer on November 16, 2010. His album Fuse, which came out in September 2013, gave him four more number-one songs on the Country Airplay list. In June 2015, “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16” came out as the first song from his eighth American studio album, Ripcord. Later, the album produced the number-one hits “Break on Me,” “Wasted Time,” and “Blue Ain’t Your Colour” on the Country Airplay chart. “Blue Ain’t Your Colour” also became Urban’s longest-running number one on the Hot Country Songs chart, staying at the top for 12 weeks.
His tenth record, Graffiti U, came out in 2018 and has the popular song “Coming Home” on it. The Speed of Now Part 1, his eleventh album, came out in 2020. It has the world hit “One Too Many” with Pink, as well as the top ten hits “We Were” and “God Whispered Your Name” on Country Airplay. Urban was both a teacher and a judge on American Idol and the Australian version of The Voice. He released his line of guitars and accessories in October 2013.

It was official on August 1, 2013, that Urban would be back as a judge for season 13. He had Jennifer Lopez, a former judge, and Harry Connick Jr., a new judge, join him. Fox said on June 23, 2014, that Urban would be back as a judge for season 14. In 2016, Urban was back to judge the 15th season of American Idol.
