Keith Marler Biography

Keith Marler is an American Emmy award-winning meteorologist working for FOX 9 as a weekday morning meteorologist on Weather on the 9s from 4:30 am to 9 am and anchors weather at 11 am. He also serves as the host of FOX 9 Buzz which airs from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. In addition, he joined the FOX 9 team in October 2003, after previously working at WUSA-TV.

Marler attended the University of Maryland where he earned a bachelor’s degree in physics and math and also graduated in meteorology in 1998. He was later able to secure his first broadcasting job as an intern at a television station in Washington, D.C. while still working on his master’s degree. In addition, he also secured his first television job at KBJR-News6 in Duluth where he served as a morning meteorologist.

Keith then relocated to Duluth where he grew his skills as a meteorologist and received the American Meteorological Society’s coveted Seal of Approval. He worked in Duluth for three years before later relocating back to Washington D.C. where he worked at WUSA before later joining FOX 9 in 2003.

While working at FOX 9, Marler has reported more than 100,000-morning weather reports while on the “On the 9s” show. He has also received many awards such as America’s Favorite Weather Forecaster. Keith has also been actively involved in a number of charities such as; eQuality, the American Heart Association, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and many more.
