Keisha went to a nearby New York City high school. She enrolled at John Jay College following graduation and earned a degree in criminal justice there. Morris went back to school later to work toward a master’s in education. She even attempted her hand at acting once, landing a small part in the comedy The Bag Man in 2005. Unfortunately, this movie marked her debut and only her acting role. In addition to her acting career, Keisha has worked as an educator, a move she made after receiving her master’s in education. Her main focus in the classroom is on racial and gender inequality as well as social injustices. They exchanged a quick word while dancing. The two reconnected at the Tunnel, a different club, about a month later. When the renowned rapper first wanted to take her out, Keisha wasn’t convinced. However, Tupac’s imprisonment after receiving a sentence for his sexual assault trial put an end to Keisha and his developing romance.

Nevertheless, this did not change his intentions to marry Keisha. After he proposed to her, they were joined in marriage at the Clinton Correctional Facility on April 29, 1995. In addition to regularly visiting him in jail, the rapper’s ex-wife even assisted him in running his companies. She’s even acknowledged for having facilitated his signing with Death Row Records. But the couple’s marriage did not last long, as they filed for divorce shortly after Tupac was let out of jail in March 1996. 

Keisha revealed that she had broken up with the rapper because she felt she couldn’t take the stress of being his wife. After the rapper was released from prison, she continued to feel unwelcome.
