Keisha Grant is an American Emmy-Award Winning anchor working for WVIT as an anchor on weeknights at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m. and co-anchor alongside Mike Hydeck and First Alert Chief Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan. She joined the NBC news team in January 2003, after previously working for WSYX/ABC6.
Grant graduated from the University of La Verne with a Bachelor of Arts in Television Broadcasting. In July 1997, she joined the KMIR 6 News Palm Springs, California as a general assignment Reporter. She was with the team for two years before joining WSYX/ABC6 in November 1999 as a weekend anchor and reporter. Currently, she works at NBC Connecticut as a co-anchor of the 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts.
Additionally, she is a two-time Emmy Award winner who has covered a wide range of breaking news stories including some of Connecticut’s most memorable headlines of the last decade. Another one of her honors includes the NAACP for her commitment to community involvement. In addition, she has also been honored with; The Ohio Valley Chapter of The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, MADD and The Society of Professional Journalists. Most recently she was the recipient of the Community Award recognizing her contribution to the field of journalism while proudly representing her Bajan heritage. This was an honor bestowed upon her by the Consul General of Barbados in New York.
