Kate Rogerson Biography
Kate Rogerson is an American sports anchor and reporter working for ABC11 on weekend evenings. She joined the ABC11 news team in October 2022, after previously working for KEZI 9 News.
While Rogerson worked at KEZI 9 News in Eugene, Oregon where she served as a sports anchor and reporter. Kater was at Hayward Field where she primarily covered the global track events, the Portland Trail Blazers, the Oregon Ducks, and Oregon State Beavers. In addition, she also served as the host and producer of the Friday night high school football/basketball shows. During the Pac-12 football season, Kate traveled down the West Coast, and she also followed the Beavers’ historic journey to the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City.
Before Rogerson came to Oregon, she worked at ESPN’s headquarters in Bristol, Connecticut where she served as assistant producer. While she was there, she created content for SportsCenter. Kate attended the University of Rhode Island where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and a minor in sports media and communications. She interned at WFXT in Boston and WLNE in Providence. In addition, she has had the privilege of covering; the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs, and the 2018 World Series at Fenway Park, and regularly attends New England Patriots games and practices.
Furthermore, Rogerson’s senior year of college was spent working for GoRhody.com as a reporter. While she was there, she covered all 16 of URI’s Division 1 athletic programs. While URI basketball played at the Atlantic 10 Tournament in 2019, she traveled to report the game in Brooklyn, New York. During her spare time, she loves shopping at Target, trying new restaurants, being outdoors, listening to country music, and talking on the phone with her dad about Celtic basketball.
