Karen attended the University of Virginia where she graduated proudly. Later on, she applied her entrepreneurial spirit in a number of fashion, lifestyle, and beauty ventures. Benjamin was brought up alongside his siblings; Michael Wooden, Ronnie Lynn Wooden, Valerie Harrison, and Elsie Raines of Maryland. He attended Second Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia, and was a member of Union Baptist Church. However, Benjamin battled Alzheimer’s disease for a while and died in 2018. His funeral was held at Union Baptist Church on Thursday, July 5, 2018.

In addition, Georgia was brought up alongside her three sisters; Lillian R. Simpson, Rebecca R. Richardson, and Rev. Doris McCray. She attended Second Baptist Church in Richmond, VA, and was a member of Union Baptist Church in Spring Grove. However, Georgia Raines Wooden had kidney failure that led to her death on November 23, 2017. She passed on at VCU Medical Center at the age of 71.
