Juliette Goodrich is an American five-time Emmy award-winning anchor and reporter who is currently working at KPIX 5. She currently serves as the anchor of the weekend night newscast. In addition, she joined the KPIX 5 news team in 1997, and over the years she has served as both an anchor and reporter.

She attended The University of California, Davis where she graduated with a Communications degree prior to being awarded the Kelly Broadcasting Scholarship her senior year. Furthermore, her broadcasting career began at Channel 30 in her hometown of Pleasanton during the early 90s where she served as a reporter. In addition, she gained local and national experience while anchoring and reporting for news stations in the Redding, Chico, and Sacramento television markets.

For her exclusive coverage of fugitive James Nivette’s capture in France and her exclusive coverage of the Bay Bridge shooting incident, she received an Emmy nomination in “Breaking News.” Furthermore, for her reports on the anchor desk during the Oakland Super Bowl Riots, she was awarded the APTRA “Excellence in Spot News Coverage” in 2004.

In addition, the Television Association and The Women of Radio were named Reporter of the Year in 2005. She was awarded an Emmy for Best Anchor in 2006 and also awarded another Emmy for Best Newscast for the 5 pm news on KPIX 5 in 2007. Additionally, she received another Emmy for Best Anchor in 2008. Prior to receiving an  Emmy for best Daytime Newscast for the noon show, she anchored weekdays in 2009.

Furthermore, for her multi-part series: “Hunger Challenge…Living on Food Stamp Budget for a Week.” she received a Nor Cal RTNDA award in 2012.  Later on, for her team coverage on Batkid, she received her fifth Emmy award in 2014.

For her 100th birthday, she was inspired to write a children’s book about the Centennial Light which is the world’s longest-burning lightbulb. In addition, she is involved in a number of community organizations such as the Alisa Ann Ruch Annual Burn Relay which is aimed at supporting burn survivors in the Bay area, the American Red Cross, and the Northern California Special Olympics.
