Dolan received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from the College of Charleston in 2007. While in college, she was part of Charleston 40 Tour Guide, News Internship, and Student Government Association. She then began her professional career at Nextar Broadcasting Group Inc. as a reporter, anchor, and producer in 2012. In September 2012, she joined WLEX-TV as a News Anchor for the Lex 18 News at Sunrise at 4:30 – 7:00 am. She was then the host of the Now Cincinnati and anchor of 9 on Your Side News at WCPO-TVFor the last year, she has worked as a freelance journalist
