He joined the NBC4 news team in July 2023, after previously working for DC News Now. During his time at NBC 4 and Telemundo 44, he covered the capital region as a morning news reporter.
Annapolis is Olmo’s native home, and he attended The Catholic University of America, where he graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Media Studies. September 2019, he was able to secure a job at DCW50 TV in Washington, District of Columbia, where he served as a multimedia journalist till February 2020. In April 2019, he worked at Emerson Clinical Research Institute, where he served as a freelance correspondent till June 2020.
In addition, Olmo worked at DC News Now prior to him joining NBC News. During his time at DC News, he served as a weekend morning anchor and reporter. In addition, Olmo also thanked his colleagues and other journalists during his Sunday night sign-off. Olmo alluded to wanting to try out some of his other dreams; however, he stated that he will still be in the Washington area.
