Joseph Morgan is a British actor and director who is famous for his role on The CW series The Vampire Diaries and in its spin-off The Originals, in which he serves as the lead character. In both series, he goes by the name Niklaus Mikaelson.
London is his native home but for eleven years he resided in Swansea. He attended the Morriston Comprehensive School where he graduated proudly and later on, he went on to attend Gorseinon College (now Gower College Swansea) where he took a BTEC Performing Arts course. Furthermore, before he relocated back to his native home in London, he did study at the Central School of Speech and Drama.
In the first series of Sky One called Hex, he starred and went by the name Troy in the series. Furthermore, he has made appearances in supporting roles in films like; Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, The Line of Beauty a BBC Two television series, and Alexander. In addition, it appears in television series like Casualty, and Doc Martin. He has co-starred alongside Billie Piper in Mansfield Park. He also played the title role in the mini-series “Ben Hur” which aired on ABC TV in America on April 4, 2010, and on CBC television in Canada in the same year.
In The Vampire Diaries a CW series, he played the part of Niklaus Mikaelson. Furthermore, in the 2011 film Immortals, he played Lysander alongside Henry Cavill in addition to being ranked on the list of BuddyTV’s Sexiest Men at position eighty-four. Then came The Originals series which was a spin-off series of The Vampire Diaries in January 2013, and he starred as Niklaus Mikaelson.
