Jorge Torres is an American meteorologist who is currently working at ABC 15. He joined the ABC 15 team in October 2019 and serves as the weekend evening meteorologist at the station.

Torres is currently working at ABC 15 where he serves as the weekend evening meteorologist Austin, Texas is his native home and he attended Texas A&M University where he studied Meteorology and Spanish. while he was in college, he joined the Texas A&M Student Chapter of the American Meteorological Society where he later became the president during his senior year.
He was also involved with the storm chasing group, Texas Aggie Storm Chasers, and is also a brother of Omega Delta Phi. He has worked in the broadcast meteorology industry for over ten years. Torres began his career at KVIA-TV in El Paso, Texas, and has also worked at KOB-TV in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he served as a chief meteorologist. In addition, he holds both the National Weather Association’s Television Weathercaster Seal of Approval and the American Meteorological Society’s Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal
Over the years, he has covered all types of weather from tornadoes, severe thunderstorms, winter weather, dust storms, and drought. As of the moment he is focusing on snowstorms that hit Arizona, excessive heat, and the monsoon. In addition, he is passionate about the community and the weather. When he is not at work he enjoys visiting local schools and talking to kids about climate, science, and weather.
During his leisure time, he enjoys enjoying new spots to salsa dance, traveling, exercising, eateries, and exploring the Valley.
