John Shrable is an American meteorologist working for KRON4 as a weekday morning meteorologist from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. He joined the KRON4 news team in 2011, after previously working for KTWO-TV.
Shrable was born and raised in Montana, and his early interest in the weather inspired him to attend Harding University to get his degree in communication. He also obtained his degree in Broadcast Meteorology from Penn State University. John worked as the morning meteorologist at Casper, Wyoming’s KTWO-TV before joining KRON4.
The Wyoming Association of Broadcasters recognized him as the station’s Best Weathercaster. Working as a weekend meteorologist and environmental reporter, John spent three years in Fresno at Nexstar affiliate KSEE-24. He became acquainted with the state’s shifting climate while there and received recognition for his reporting on the impact of the drought on Central Valley agriculture.
