John Hook is an American multiple Emmy award-winning anchor and reporter who is currently working at FOX 10. He serves as the evening anchor of the 4, 5, and 9 pm newscasts at the station. In addition, he joined the KSAZ-TV news team in August 1993. Furthermore, he is also the host of FOX 10 Newsmaker Saturday which airs at 10:30 p.m.
For more than thirty-six years, he has been covering Arizona news and his career in broadcasting started in Phoenix radio. In addition to working at Fox10, he also served as an anchor and reporter in Tucson for over eight years.
In addition, in his career as a journalist, he has been awarded many Emmy awards and a recipient of the Associated Press “Anchor of the Year” five times. Furthermore, he has covered twelve National Political Conventions, major breaking stories from the San Francisco earthquake, O-J Simpson to California wildfires and 9/11, and the elections of 6 Presidents.
He is the author of the critically acclaimed book, “Who Killed Bob Crane?” He attended Arizona State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in broadcasting. Additionally, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame at ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism in 2002.
