Joel Grover is an American Emmy award-winning investigative anchor who is currently working at KNBC. He joined the NBC4 news team in 2003 as an investigative reporter.
In his journalism career, he has won every major award for investigative reporting, inclusive of; three Society of Professional Journalists Medals, two IRE (Investigative Reports and Editors) Medals, six National Edward R. Murrow Award, at least 20 local area Emmy Awards, the DuPont-Columbia, and the Peabody.
Furthermore, his investigations have led to millions of dollars in refunds to changed laws, consumers, and sent people to prison. His reports on Jiffy Lube, the nation’s largest car repair chain, resulted in nationwide changes in the company’s practices and policies. Additionally, his investigation of Southern California car dealerships resulted in prison sentences for six top managers and a settlement returning $1.5 million dollars to customers.
He attended the University of California at Berkeley where he graduated with honors. In addition, his broadcasting career began in Grand Junction, Colorado.
