Joe Mauceri is an American sports anchor and reporter working for PIX 11 as a weekend sports anchor and reporter a position he took up in October 2019. He joined the PIX 11 team in December 2012, as a multi-media journalist.
Bay Ridge, Brooklyn is where Joe was brought up and he attended Regis High School where he graduated proudly. Later on, he joined Syracuse University where he graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism. In addition, Mauceri began his career at WWAY, an ABC affiliate in Wilmington, North Carolina. While he worked at WWAY, he tracked down corrupt politicians and backwards sheriff’s departments.
New York is Joe’s native home and while he worked at Brooklyn and News 12 The Bronx, he covered major stories such as; Superstorm Sandy and the murder of Leiby Kletzky, a young Hasidic boy who was kidnapped as he walked from school to home. Over the years, Mauceri has been awarded by; the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the Radio and Television News Directors Association, and the Associated Press. Furthermore, during Joe’s spare time, he enjoys working out, playing sports, and finding the hidden gems of New York.
