Jim Hill Biography
Jim Hill is an American sports anchor who has been working at CBS2 in Los Angeles for more than thirty years. He anchors the weekdays 6 and 11 p.m newscasts in addition to hosting the weekend editions of “Sports Central” – Southern California’s most comprehensive sports newscast. Previously, he was an American football defensive back who played in the National Football League.

In the National Football League, he played defense and his experience as a player has enabled him to deliver his award-winning sports reports. In May 2006, during a ceremony that was attended by a Who’s Who list of Hall of Fame athletes, entertainers, and government leaders, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In addition, in 2010, he was inducted into the Southern California Sports Broadcasters Hall of Fame. He joined the CBS 2 news team in 1976, as a sportscaster and spent eleven years in the station, Later on, he joined KABC-TV in Los Angeles for a period of four years, and in March 1992, he rejoined the CBS 2 news team. Furthermore, he is very active in a number of community and sports fitness organizations. In addition, he is a member of the board of directors of the Los Angeles Urban League and the advisory board for the Boy Scouts of America.
In the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks, he serves as a spokesperson, While he serves as a spokesperson, he works with the Department of Recreation and the Office of the Mayor and Parks in numerous youth outreach and sports fitness programs.
Furthermore, he is a member of the Governor of California’s Board for Physical Fitness and Sports and the President’s Council for Physical Fitness. Previously, in Los Angeles County’s “Just Say No” anti-drug program he served as the chair, president of Athletes for Kids, chair of the Watts Summer Games, and member of the advisory board for the Grossman Burn Center.
