Jessica Moore is an American Emmy award-winning anchor and reporter working for CBS2, as a weekend evening anchor. She joined the CBS2 news team in July 2016.
Jessica Moore Career
Prior to joining CBS New York, Moore worked for WLNY 10/55. While serving as a journalist, she has traveled all over the country from WLEX in Lexington, Kentucky, WDTN in Dayton Ohio, and KSNV in Las Vegas where she served as a primary weekday evening anchor for six years. For Jessica‘s outstanding work, she has earned three Emmy awards and an Associated Press Award.
In addition, while Moore worked in Lexington, she made her network debut on CNN while the Northpoint Prison riots took place. She also worked for the Weather Channel where she served as a reporter, and while she was there, she reported during a huge snowstorm in Kentucky. A deadly tornado ripped through parts of Central Kentucky in 2009, which Moore covered. For her coverage of the storm’s aftermath, she received an Emmy award.
Later on, Jessica relocated to New York from Las Vegas. While working in New York, she was nominated for nine Pacific Southwest Emmy Awards inclusive of; best Live Event Anchoring and Best News Anchor. In addition, she has anchored many hours of election and live breaking news. She also had the privilege of securing an exclusive interview with Mitt Romney during the 2012 presidential election. She previously focused on volunteering with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Nevada. Furthermore, North Carolina is Moore’s native home and she attended Liberty University where she earned a singing scholarship and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology.
