Jessica Brown is an American anchor and reporter working for WCVB-TV as a medical reporter and co-anchor of the noon and 4 pm newscast alongside Maria Stephanos and Ed Harding. She joined WCVB in August 2021.
South Florida is Brown’s native home and she is from a multi-cultural background. She attended Florida State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism, Jessica began her broadcasting career at WAGA-TV in Atlanta, Georgia.
Prior to joining WCVB-TV, Jessica worked at WXIX-TV in Cincinnati, Ohio where she served as a weekday morning anchor and lifestyle host. She joined the WXIX team in 2012, and ever since, she has covered live breaking news of stories such as; the aftermath of George Floyd protests, the murder trial of Ray Tensing, and many more.
Before Jessica joined WXIX, she worked at KSNF-TV where she was an anchor and reporter. She also worked for KODE-TV in Joplin, Missouri where she covered one of the most dangerous tornadoes in history that made her lose her apartment. Furthermore, Jessica is an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists and she is devoted to community service especially volunteering her time to mentor young girls. During her spare time, she enjoys checking out new eateries, being at the dog park with her pup Rocco, and traveling the world.
