Jennifer Lewke Biography
Jennifer Lewke is an American reporter working for WHEC-TV as an investigative reporter. She joined WHEC-TV in March 2016, after previously working for WRGB-TV.
Lewke was born and brought up north of Syracuse, in Central Square. For Jennifer’s investigative reports, she has won a number of awards over the years. She has spent more than ten years exposing taxpayer waste, government corruption, and consumer fraud in New York State. Before she joined WHEC, she worked in both Albany and Syracuse In addition, while she was there she assisted in solving many viewer problems, exposed many scammers in New York, and rooted for the strengthening of consumer protection laws.
Furthermore, for Jennifer’s investigation into low-cost bus carriers, she was awarded the prestigious national Edward R. Murrow Award. Her investigations still preceded despite the federal shutdown orders. Lewke has also received four Regional Murrow awards, three Emmy awards, six Associated Press awards, and almost a dozen of Syracuse Press Club and NYS Broadcasters Association awards. In addition, during Jennifer’s downtime, she enjoys sending ample time with her family and playing volleyball
